#Juneathon 2015 Day 12
A runstreak amounting to double figures and three days of those so far!!
I’m going to be quick this evening as I have a race in the morning and will be rising from my slumber at the ungodly hour of 3am. Sadly, for me, I stirred very early today and looked out from the house to see a wonderful sunrise, which obviously was a bad omen for the weather to come, but beautiful nonetheless. I should have run then while the iron was still hot but instead, opted for a few more hours of kip. The notion of running early was to allow myself as much recovery as possible ahead of tomorrow’s early start.
Well, that wasn’t to be. So this afternoon, when the wife was picking up dinner for this evening, I took the wonder pup for another trek along the canal. Holly & I encountered some light drizzle, which turned out to be more refreshing than disheartening. My legs felt ok but I kept the pace minimal, no point in doing myself a mischief now.
This evening has turned out to be a mad scramble with purpose to get myself ready for the weekend. My only regret is the three hours of the procrastination this morning, which in turn has left me without enough time to find my iPod Shuffle. Music will not be an abundant crutch for me to call upon but what can you do at the 11th hour?
