They will run the race at a steady effort throughout, and aim to finish a few seconds under each time band. To be paced by them during the race, just turn up at the start, look for the runners wearing backpacks with large flags, and stand behind the corresponding time. (Note that 3:50 will start at the front of Wave 2). Asics will be providing pace bands for runners, go onto their website https://paceyourrace.asics.com/ and book your pace band. It can then be picked up at registration with your name printed on it.

You must be fit and well to run a marathon. Severe exertion during or soon after any kind of fever is extremely dangerous. If you find yourself in this situation you must withdraw – even if this is the first time you are running the event.
